Professional Biography:
My name is Joshua Bishop. I am a product of the Coweta County School System. I attended Jefferson Parkway, East Coweta Middle and East Coweta High. For the past twelve years, I have been the Spanish teacher at Lee Middle School. I am also a professor of Spanish at the University of West Georgia Newnan. Education is a second career for me. Before becoming a teacher, I worked in sales for an international electrical devices company. Teaching is both my passion and my mission. I am very grateful to have the privilege to work with the amazing students, teachers and staff at both middle school and university settings. As a student at the University of West Georgia, I was inducted into the National Foreign Language Honors Association. I am a current member of FLAG, the foreign language association of Georgia. While teaching in Georgia, I traveled to Spain to study the Spanish language at the University of Salamanca. I completed my Master’s degree while there. I strive to share my experiences from my time in Spain with all of my students. I hope to assist them in developing an appreciation and desire for experiencing all of the language and culture that is present in our community and abroad.
