Welcome to Lee Middle School!

On behalf of the faculty and staff, it is my honor to welcome you to Lee Middle School, home of the Timberwolves! I am so excited to be in this new role of leadership. Lee Middle is an excellent school with an amazing group of community members, students, parents, and staff. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this famiLEE.

To provide you with my background, I began my career in Coweta as a math teacher at Madras Middle and then moved to Northgate High School where I taught and led the math department for fifteen years. I was most recently at East Coweta High School where I led as an assistant principal. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the University of West Georgia, Georgia Teacher Certification in grades 7-12, a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from LaGrange College, and a PhD from Mercer University in the field of Curriculum and Instruction.

Our theme this year is “We’re on the Same Team”.  To carry out this theme, teachers will continue to teach on one of two teams per grade level and meet weekly to collaborate with clear high expectations. Teachers will also work with students to complete a goal setting activity that students will present to their parents and teachers. Studies show that students who are involved in clubs, sports, and other school activities have higher grades, have a more positive outlook towards school, and have higher goals for the future. My hope is that every student be involved in at least one extracurricular activity.   To make our team complete, we encourage all parents to stay involved and “plugged in.”  With all of us working together as a team, I know this will be the best year yet!

Again, I am so excited for the 2023-2024 school year to begin! At Lee, we will continue to ensure academic success and positive social growth for each student through learning, motivating, and serving. We are committed first and foremost to keeping everyone under our care safe. We will also continue to nurture a positive academic and social environment where students can learn and grow. You and your child are very important to me, so please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or input at any time.
